I fixed all the small things and bought the tools I need for the trip. Last week on Thursday (07/31/2014) I started together with my german friend the journey. Our frist stop was chicago. Without power steering not the best idea to drive through chicago downtown. But the car was not to hot and the old lady runs good.
After Chicago we drove over Springfield, St Louis, Springfield, Joplin, Tulsa to Oklahoma City and Amarillo where we sleep this night, right now.
We couldn´t drove the whole Route 66 cause we are a bit in a hurry to reach the Speedweek at August 9th. But from tomorrow the 66 is the only street for us
For sure, it´s a very old car and there could happen something anytime. Right now, we had some problems with the generator, 2 destroyed valve lifter, the damper was slacking around and two flat tires. But we are still on the way and enjoy the wonderfull street with all the things around.
And if we have to stop for a problem with the car, there are so many cool people which like to help us, wow.

I know that here are not the newest informations about the trip. So here is a link that you can follow our activities. Check it out, man!
As the most of you already know, I ´ve got a new car. It´s a 1959 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88, 2 Door, coupe. The car has a rusty shape wtih some dents and rust holes. But I like it and for all the people which asked me several times when I want to paint the car: No, it stays like it is. She´s a beauty!
The last weeks before the trip started, I was many times in the evening or at the weekend working on the car. But it was a cool time and most of the time I was not alone and somebody was helping me with drinking beer or talking about the important things in life with beer. Thanks guys, I really enjoyed it ;)
